What a merchandiser gets out of Coord
The market picture gets rebuilt by hand every week, and the version you are looking at is always a few days old by the time it is finished. Coord does that rebuild continuously and hands you the result, so the spreadsheet stops being where the research happens and goes back to being where the decision is written down.
At this size a weekly check by hand covers a fraction of the range, and the fraction it covers is chosen by whoever ran out of afternoon first.
This week
If your week looks like most merchandising weeks, some of this is on it
- Where should this stock actually sit, and which stores or channels are wrong today?
- What do I mark down, how deep, and when?
- How much open to buy have I actually got left?
- What is not available that should be?
What the week looks like either side of it
- Today
Competitor ranges checked by hand, a few brands at a time, whenever somebody has an afternoon
With CoordEvery brand in your set read every day, without anyone opening a tab
- Today
A markdown argued from last year's sheet, because it is the only sheet to hand
With CoordThis season's market, with the depth and the duration of every cut in your set
- Today
A gap in the range turns up when a customer asks for something you do not stock
With CoordCategories your competitive set is serving and you are not, listed while the buy is still open
- Today
Sizes assumed to be selling because the style is still listed
With CoordStock read at size level, so a broken size run is visible the week it breaks
What Coord answers
And the observation behind each one
What the market is charging, and where it has already moved
Price ladders and markdown depth off the daily panel, held at size and colour rather than averaged into one figure for the garment
Which lines a competitor has quietly stopped listing
Range churn dated to the day it happened, so a withdrawal is separable from a size being out of stock
Whether your range is thin where the market is deep
Option counts and colourway spread per category, read off the garment rather than off each retailer's own filing
About 480 brands read every day across Great Britain, the United States and France, with wider sweeps out to about 5,700. Measured September 2026.
What it will not tell you
Coord reads published catalogues, so it can tell you what a competitor listed and what they charged. It cannot tell you what they sold. Sell through here is inferred from stock going missing, and it is an inference.
See it on the brands you actually compete with.
